The Beginning of the Project

On Tuesday April 19th, the project began.  After utilizing the ideas from the community to sketch the design, we started gluing on the tiles for the first 2 panels.  Children from the community helped out with sorting tiles, gluing the border, leaves and part of the tree trunk.  It has been an amazing experience to see everyone become involved.  Come and join us!

On April 5th, people from the Thunderbird Community gathered to meet the artist, Corina Hanson.  The participants had the opportunity to ask questions about the mosaic project, the design and the installation of it.  In addition, with the help of many, the mosaics started to be separated by colors.
